Mechanic invoice template

A fillable template instead of a Word file: type the job, and the totals, tax and layout are done for you. Works on a phone in the driveway.

What's in the template

  1. Shop header: name, address, phone, and the license or registration number your state issues.
  2. Customer and vehicle: year, make, model, VIN, plate, odometer in and out.
  3. Concern and work performed: what the customer reported and what you did.
  4. Parts: each with condition (new, used, rebuilt, reconditioned, remanufactured).
  5. Labor: hours times your rate. Pennsylvania asks for hours, rate and total labor on the invoice.
  6. Fees and sublet: hazardous waste, towing, alignment sent to another shop.
  7. Totals: parts, labor, sales tax, total, paid and balance due.
  8. Authorizations, guarantee and signature.

Template vs. invoice software

A Word or Excel template works for a handful of jobs a month. Once you write several a week, retyping the customer and the car on the estimate, the repair order and the invoice takes longer than the repair paperwork should. WrenchTicket keeps one ticket per job and prints all three. Pro keeps every customer and vehicle, so the next visit starts filled in.

Is the template really free?

Yes: one job at a time, unlimited PDFs, no signup. The PDF carries a small “Made with WrenchTicket” line. Pro ($15/month) removes it and adds your logo.

Can I use it for a mobile mechanic business?

Yes. It was built for phones first: big fields, the customer signs on your screen, and it keeps working without signal once loaded.
